Move Better. Feel Better. Live Well.
Connecting the body, movement and wellbeing.
I believe everybody deserves an opportunity to explore movement in a safe and supportive environment. One where movement doesn’t need to focus on aesthetic or confined by traditional dance principles, just a safe space for movement to positively impact wellbeing.
A question that is central to my practice: how does movement make you feel? This question can be the catalyst for someone to think about their body differently and understand how their body feels in the moment.
Why is this important for our wellbeing? Because so often we are living in a state of fight or flight where our bodies can respond negatively to certain situations in our lives. By engaging with mindful movement and creative practice, we can begin to notice our bodies in a way that differs from our sometimes anxiety-provoking experiences.
Through a blend of traditional Somatic Practice and informed Movement Research, I aim to acknowledge everyone’s experience of their bodies, understand how we can positively impact the lived experience, and offer opportunities for people to engage with movement that expresses themselves.
